Radiation Units Converter: Bq, Ci, Gy, Sv
1 Ci = 37 GBq, 1 rem = 10 mSv and 1 MeV = 1.602176634 × 10⁻¹³ J. Convert activity, absorbed dose, equivalent or effective dose, exposure and energy within each quantity.

Activity: the becquerel (Bq) is one nuclear transformation per second.
Absorbed dose: the gray (Gy) is one joule of energy imparted per kilogram.
Equivalent or effective dose: the sievert (Sv) is one joule per kilogram, weighted for radiation and, for effective dose, tissue.
Exposure: C/kg measures the charge of ions produced in air per kilogram of air.
Energy: the joule (J) is kg m² s⁻².
Gy and Sv cannot be converted directly: a radiation weighting factor is required. Effective dose also requires tissue weighting.
Radiation weighting factors
| Radiation weighting factors | Radiation weighting factor (wR) |
|---|---|
| Photons | 1 |
| Electrons and muons | 1 |
| Protons and charged pions | 2 |
| Alpha particles, fission fragments and heavy ions | 20 |
| Neutrons | Continuous function of neutron energy |
