Poland in detail
What the national rules say, with the legal texts.
Poland has set up no national reporting system for data centres. Operators with at least 500 kW of IT power demand report directly to the EU database by 15 May each year. A 2023 act on the National Data Processing Centre covers only the state's own facility. Draft UC77, an amendment of the Energy Efficiency Act, would require owners and operators above 500 kW to publish energy performance information; adoption by the Council of Ministers was planned for the third quarter of 2026 and is not yet recorded. Draft UC121, an Energy Law amendment, would oblige data centres above 1 MW to use waste heat unless not technically or economically feasible, according to the government work list.
