These terms apply when you buy a paid ScienceShot product: the EED reporting workbook, the data centre toolkit subscription, the European grid signal API or a fixed scope service. Today nothing is for sale. The priced pages are waiting lists, and joining one is not a purchase. These terms take effect on the day a product is first sold. Version of 11 October 2026.
1. Who sells
The product is licensed by ScienceShot. Payment and invoicing are handled by the payment provider named at checkout, which acts as merchant of record, or by ScienceShot directly where no provider is used. The checkout page and your receipt say which applies, and your receipt shows the seller details.
2. Who may buy
Products are sold to businesses and professionals who buy for a business purpose. Checkout asks for a company name and, where available, a VAT number. Where the law gives you consumer rights, these terms do not take them away.
3. What you get
A licence to use the product for your own organisation. For the workbook, the licence covers the reporting year stated at purchase and the number of sites stated at purchase, with carry over into the next reporting year, including updates released in that time. For a subscription, access lasts for the period you have paid for. You may not resell or republish the product. You enter your own data in the tools; ScienceShot does not receive your operating data.
4. What the products are not
The workbook and the tools help you prepare reporting under the Energy Efficiency Directive and national rules. They are not legal advice, not an audit, not a certification and not a substitute for your own compliance review. ScienceShot is not an accredited certifier. Check the authoritative text and your national authority before you submit anything.
5. Fixed scope services
A service such as a readiness assessment or a market shortlist has a written scope, deliverable and price agreed before you pay. It is advice based on public sources and the information you give us. It is never a certification, and paid work stays separate from our editorial coverage.
6. Updates and support
Corrections to formulas or to the reference rules are published as new versions and sent to buyers by email. Support is by email to science.shot.page@gmail.com. On a purchase through a payment provider, the provider’s terms govern payment and invoicing where they differ from these.
7. Refunds
Ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase and the full price is returned. You do not need to give a reason.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the price you paid for the licence period.
9. Privacy
The seller and the payment provider process your name, email, company and payment data to deliver and invoice your order, as described in our Privacy Policy. The tools run in your browser or in your spreadsheet.
10. Changes
The price and scope in force at purchase apply for your licence period. We may change these terms for later purchases, and the version date above shows which text applies.
