Step 4 · Compliance
Maintenance what falls due, and what it costs
List a site’s plant once: the calendar sets the dates the law requires, adds your own checks, and shows which service contracts end and when notice is due.

How the dates are set
F-gas leak checks follow Article 5 of Regulation (EU) 2024/573: the charge in kilograms times the gas’s global warming potential from Annex I gives tonnes of CO2 equivalent. From 5 tonnes a check is due every 12 months, from 50 tonnes every 6, from 500 tonnes every 3; a fitted leakage detection system doubles each interval, and from 500 tonnes one is required. Hermetically sealed, labelled equipment under 10 tonnes is exempt. Blends use the weighted average of their parts.
An interval duty runs from the date you record as last done, held to the month end (a check on 31 January with a one-month interval falls due on the last day of February). A reporting duty falls on its date each year: the EED report by 15 May, the German register by 31 March. A notification is due until you record it.
Operator-set duties are yours: no public body sets a generator test cadence, so the interval shown is a starting point you can change. ScienceShot does not inspect, certify or file anything.
