QTS data centre projects in Europe
Our European pipeline tracker follows 5 data-centre projects of 5 MW or more that QTS develops or co-develops, in 5 countries; 3 are permitted or already being built. The largest share is in Germany, with 1 project.
60% are permitted or being built, against 43% across the whole tracker, so the pipeline is further along than the European average. The milestones we hold run from Jan 2026 to Sep 2026.

What the capacity figures measure
- Facility, campus or unstated basis2
- First phase only1

Stated size, where a figure is published
- 250 MW and above3
2 projects have no published capacity and are not in a band. Bands mix the bases above (a grid connection is larger than the IT load it serves), so read them as orders of size. Capacities are counted, never added together.

Method
The pipeline covers data-centre projects of 5 MW or more, or with no capacity published, that are announced, in planning, permitted or under construction and not yet fully operating. It is not a list of operating facilities, and it holds the projects we have found and checked, not every project a company has.
- We count the projects QTS develops or co-develops; a joint venture counts once for each partner. Tenancies, land ownership, construction contracts and financing are not counted.
- Markets follow the tracker: a metro market includes the region around the city, and a national market covers the rest of the country.
- Stated capacities use different bases, so projects are counted by basis and in size bands and the figures are never added together.
- ScienceShot is independent of QTS. The figures come from public filings and announcements, not from the company.
- This page shows aggregates. The pipeline tracker and the market pages hold the wider picture.
