As of 12 Oct 2026 (newest check)Cite as: ScienceShot, CloudHQ data-centre pipeline summary, October 2026

Our European pipeline tracker follows 3 data-centre projects of 5 MW or more that CloudHQ develops or co-develops, in 2 countries; 2 are permitted or already being built. The largest share is in Germany, with 2 projects.

67% are permitted or being built, against 43% across the whole tracker, so the pipeline is further along than the European average. The milestones we hold run from Jun 2025 to May 2026.

What the capacity figures measure

  • IT load3

Stated size, where a figure is published

  • 50 to 99 MW1
  • 100 to 249 MW1
  • 250 MW and above1

Bands mix the bases above (a grid connection is larger than the IT load it serves), so read them as orders of size. Capacities are counted, never added together.

Method

The pipeline covers data-centre projects of 5 MW or more, or with no capacity published, that are announced, in planning, permitted or under construction and not yet fully operating. It is not a list of operating facilities, and it holds the projects we have found and checked, not every project a company has.

  • We count the projects CloudHQ develops or co-develops; a joint venture counts once for each partner. Tenancies, land ownership, construction contracts and financing are not counted.
  • Markets follow the tracker: a metro market includes the region around the city, and a national market covers the rest of the country.
  • Stated capacities use different bases, so projects are counted by basis and in size bands and the figures are never added together.
  • ScienceShot is independent of CloudHQ. The figures come from public filings and announcements, not from the company.
  • This page shows aggregates. The pipeline tracker and the market pages hold the wider picture.
